Gwyneth Paltrow Is Getting Roasted Over Her 'Pretentious' New Ad
The internet is roasting Gwyneth Paltrow's new ad for a probiotic capsule, but this time, it's—surprisingly—not because she's being an almond mom.
In a new TikTok advertisement for Seed, a company that sells probiotic capsules for adults, teens, and kids, the Goop founder sits in her kitchen and places a giant green pill between her lips before pulling it out and explaining, "So this is a twenty-four strain probiotic—" but she's quickly interrupted by a loud sound from somewhere else in the room.
Instead of ending the video, she continues her thought at the same volume as before, almost completely drowned out by the noise. "Not the kind that you find in yogurt and stuff like that."
She then explains that her 17-year-old son, Moses, is steaming some milk, adding, "And it's so good for bloating and regularity."
People could not comprehend her decision to submit the video in that state, with one, named Alanna Bennett, posting a recording of the ad and some of its TikTok comments on Twitter, writing, "My new favorite thing is Gwyneth getting paid to do this ad and then delivering…this."

"Part of me hopes she actually gave them a polished, professional take but they just chose this from the discard pile because they knew I would love it," one person replied, but more likely, Paltrow knew that this version would get people talking.
"I only saw this ad because people are mocking it so maybe it was the best thing for them," another affirmed.
"What is she bloating from???? Bone broth or steamed veggies ??," someone else wanted to know, referencing her controversial starvation diet.
A TikTokker also reuploaded the clip, writing, "Celebrity privilege is the fact Gwyneth prob got paid thousands of dollars to do this TIKTOK ad with her son steaming milk so you can't even hear her."
"'Moses is steaming some milk' has got to be the most pretentious thing I've heard all summer," someone replied.
"I was wondering if she had him do that to be annoying and relateable [sic]? ??," one questioned.
"The fact that she just posted it like.. yup that”ll do it ??," another wrote.
One fan recalled her posting the same clip in a recent "Wellness Wednesday" Instagram Story, so it may have been a truly organic moment that the brand decided to run with, but it's certainly an interesting choice, to say the least.
