This New Hair Color Trend Will Make You Want to Go Red
Hair trends for blondes have been all over the place this year. And more recently, fun colors designed just for brunettes are gaining traction. But what about the red hair lovers among us? Good news, ginger fans: There's a new trend in town. It's called Ronze," and it's radiant enough to wear all year round.
"Ronze is a mixture of copper red and bronze brown," Matrix StyleLink celebrity hairstylist George Papanikolas told Good Housekeeping. It's like the bronde trend of this past summer, only transformed for redheads, and it really brightens up your complexion.
If you're looking to get ronze hair for yourself this winter, consult with your colorist about which version will look the best on you. Here's a quick rundown of what our celeb stylist recommends.
For Dark Complexions
If you have a deep skin tone, try a deep shade of ronze to flatter your complexion. "Olive and darker complexions can pull off cooler blue-based versions," says Papanikolas.
For Medium Complexions
"Medium skin tones really complement golden ronze colors," Papanikolas tells Good Housekeeping. "If you're a natural brunette, you can play up your hair's warmth with amber bronze tones."
For Fair Complexions
If you've got a pale skin tone, aim for a brighter shade. "Fair, cool complexions work better with a more vibrant copper undertone," explains Papanikolas. If you're already a natural redhead, he recommends using a color gloss to enhance your color.
Once you have your perfect shade of ronze, apply a simple swipe of a true red lipstick to your lips, a swipe of mascara on curled lashes, and bam — instant wintertime glamour.
