When is Halloween Haunt at Kings Island?
Halloween Haunt will be held on select nights from Sept. 20 through Nov. 2, when the park is closed except for Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
The event transforms Kings Island with haunted mazes and scare zones, as well as hundreds of creatures lurking in the fog.
It also brings live entertainment and night rides on the park's attractions and roller coasters, such as The Beast, Orion, Diamondback, Mystic Timbers and Banshee.
What's new at Halloween Haunt this year
A new attraction this year is Hooked, a scare zone where "ghosts of a sunken pirate ship have returned to claim the treasures that are theirs," according to Kings Island's attractions website.
Other outdoor scare zones include:
Abandoned: At the Miami Valley Lumber Company, 66 men and women entered and were never seen again. The forest is overrun with supernatural creatures.
Alien X: When darkness falls, the people working at Area 72 show their true form.
Coney Maul: The circus disbanded years ago, but those who shocked the audience can't seem to leave.
Pumpkin Eater: The Pumpkin Eater is on the prowl. Beware the demons that roam the road.
International Street Fear: See the strange creatures that stalk the shadows of International Street.
The frights don't stop there. Halloween Haunt also offers several haunted mazes to wander, including:
Cornered: These farmers don't like strangers. Get caught and you might be a permanent part of the field.
Alien Abyss: The Department of Alien Research is breeding a biological weapon. When civilians tour the facility, something goes terribly wrong.
Hotel St. Michelle: Are the haunted tales of the hotel true? Sneak around and find out.
KillMart: Shopping after the apocalypse is risky, especially here.
Madame Fatale's Cavern of Terror: This wax museum has pieces both classic and creepy. Beware, you might stay longer than you like.
Slaughter House: This Rivertown butcher is slicing more than just the prices.
Live entertainment at Halloween Haunt
Live entertainment at Halloween Haunt kicks off each night at the opening ceremony, featuring Dr. Nightmare and his gang of monsters, who will test your skills with trivia and games at the International Street Bandstand throughout the night.
Ghouls Gone Wild, a classic Kings Island revival, features songs from the '70s and '80s with a haunting twist. NyteWalkers is described as acrobatics and action sports meets zombies, featuring stunts, a suspenseful storyline and creative staging.
The night ends with Killer Countdown, featuring fire, laser lights and a rocking soundtrack.
