Hampton Harvest Festival this Saturday
HAMPTON — The annual Hampton Harvest Festival will share its bounty with the community on Saturday.
The main fundraiser of the Fletcher Memorial Library in Hampton, the event has grown over the years to include homegrown products and activities for the whole family to enjoy.
Local vendors will sell their own produce and hand-crafted wares. Community organizations and other commercial vendors will also have booths at the event.
Children can visit a face-painting booth and organized games. There will also be hay rides offered and attendees can play cornhole. Farm animals will be exhibited as well.
“The offerings will include fresh produce and other agricultural products, baked goods, gift baskets and local crafts and art work,” said Janice Trecker, one of the members of the Fletcher Memorial Library’s Board of Trustees. “The Hampton Fire Company will have the grill set up for hamburgers and hot dogs.”
Admission and parking are both free.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is slated to be held on the grounds between the Hampton Town Hall and the Hampton Community Center, at 164-178 Main Street/Route 97. In the event of rain, the festival will be moved indoors to the Hampton Elementary School, at 380 Main Street.
