In an effort to keep acceptance speeches short during this year’s Academy Awards, returning host Jimmy Kimmel is resorting to some pretty desperate measures.
The comedian enlisted the help of Oscar-winning actress (and all-around legend) Helen Mirren to show off a shining, bright-green Jet Ski that Kimmel will gift to the shortest speech of the night (yep, he’s timing them).
Considering that most Oscar nights run way over the allotted time slot, it’s not a bad idea. But if we’re being honest, we’d happily forgo the Jet Ski for a chance to hang out with the hilarious and ultra-charming Mirren. May the best speech win.
