This Hello Kitty Pop-Up Is Filled With Every Holiday Gift You Could Possibly Need
Hello Kitty fans, it's time to plan a trip to New York City. In celebration of the iconic character's 45th birthday, Cost Plus World Market and Sanrio opened up a Hello Kitty Pop-Up Shop in NYC's Chelsea neighborhood. The shop, opened now through December 24, is located on 18th and 6th Avenue.
Inside, there's a mix of classic Hello Kitty (and friends) toys and items not available in other locations, including ones flown in directly from Japan. There are also character installations to snap photos with, naturally.
Delish got to take a first look at the pop-up before it opened this weekend and the selection of merch did not disappoint. Some of the stand-outs included Hello Kitty soda, available in strawberry, pineapple, and cherry lime flavors, and all the Hello Kitty pasta items. I didn't know I needed to cook with Hello Kitty-shaped noodles, but now that it's an option, how could I not?! There's also branded Hello Kitty olive oil and pasta sauce, so the themed dinner party options are pretty endless.
The Hello Kitty cookie jar is another favorite, as are the holiday cookie decorating kits. Beyond that, there are all the usual suspects: coffee mugs, water bottles, bento boxes, plates, and more. If you're shopping for someone who adores the Sanrio brand, there's a 100 percent chance you can find something for them inside this store.
