Here's How You Can Get Groceries From Costco Without a Membership
Costco Shoppers
Buckle up folks, there's a serious change on the horizon for both membership holders and non-membership holders who love the beloved bulk warehouse we call Costco. Have you ever found yourself annoyed by the constantly packed parking lots? Or reminiscing about the days before you had a membership when all you wanted was to take advantage of Costco’s extensive grocery selection? Well, the new change will impact both of those things.
According to Axios Reports, Uber Eats has just rolled out a slew of new services, one of which can snag you the internet-famous rotisserie chicken, along with any other item on the shelf, with no membership card needed. Officially launching in the D.C. area, with Houston listed on the Uber Eats site as well, customers can now order from their local Costco from the comfort of their own home.
For starters, this new change can be exactly what each location needs to help alleviate some of the excess traffic that builds up in the parking lot. In addition to clearing up parking for membership holders, non-membership holders can now get a sweet taste at what Costco has to offer without the added stress of having to pay for a membership.
The new changes, however, aren't just going to benefit non-membership holders. Members will typically save 15 to 20-percent more than non-members when they order through the Uber Eats app, making it a win-win situation for everyone. In addition, membership holders can stock up on all of their Costco favorites while stacking in-store discounts on top of in-app discounts. Prices and delivery fees will, of course, vary by location, and items such as alcohol or gold bars will not be available for purchase through the app. But, a win is a win, right?
As of now, Uber is declining to share specific participating store locations, but DMV customers can officially order from a variety of locations including Arlington, Pentagon City and Wheaton for their UberEats Costco deliveries. Here's hoping this rollout is successful so that your city can be on the list next!
