Hilary Swank, who is expecting twins, shares rare pregnancy photo

Hilary Swank is getting ready for the holidays — and motherhood!

The Alaska Daily star, 48, shared a rare photo from her pregnancy on Saturday, posting a shot of herself decorating her Christmas tree to Instagram. The two-time Academy Award winner, who wed her husband Philip Schneider in 2018, is expecting twins.

Dressed in a cozy sweater, blank pants and fuzzy slippers, the star hung an ornament on her picture-perfect Christmas tree, which was illuminated with white lights. She was joined by her two furry friends, dogs Rumi and Kai.

"All I want for Christmas is yoooouuus, ohhhhhhh baby(s)," Swank captioned the photo, playing on the classic Mariah Carey Christmas tune. At the end of the caption, she added two baby emojis, a nod to the fact that she's expecting twins.

In the comments, friends and fans, including Sharon Stone and The Craft actress Robin Tunney, added messages celebrating Swank's holiday joy.

"So happy you’re going to be a mother!" Tunney wrote. "My God those little babies in your belly are lucky to have you!!!!"

Back in October, Swank announced she was pregnant with twins during an appearance on Good Morning America.

"I'm going to be a mom — and not just of one, but of two. I can't believe it," the actress shared. "It's so nice to be able to talk about it and share it."

During an appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan, Swank spoke candidly about becoming a mother.

“It’s such a blessing. It’s a total miracle. It’s unbelievable,” she shared, adding that she was "feeling great right now." She also stated that twins run in both her and her husband's families. But it was upon discovering that she was pregnant during production of her ABC series that Swank had to get a bit creative during the earlier months, she explained on the chat show.

“My clothes started not to fit so I had to, the other day cut [my jeans] open. And then I put a jacket on that wasn’t in continuity,” she said. “And they came and said, ‘That’s not in continuity.’ I said, ‘Oh, I think it works.’ ‘It doesn’t.’ ‘No, it does. I’m going to make it work.’ She’s like, ‘If you’re an executive producer, you can do it, but this is weird.’”

Another unique twist to Swank's path to parenthood: her twins are actually due on the day of her late father's birthday. She revealed the fact during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show back in October.

“You just announced that your father has passed away one year ago and this miracle is happening,” Barrymore said to Swank, who replied, “Yeah and they are due on his birthday.”
