Step 1: Trim Fabric
Trim your fabric to a 20-inch x 17-inch rectangle. Fold in half lengthwise, and make one angled cut to create a slight V when unfolded. Trim any extra strings and uneven spots.

Step 2: Make Bunny Shape
To make the bunny shape, use two bowls, one larger than the other. I used 6-inch and 5-inch-diameter bowls. Trace around the bowls lightly with a pencil. Draw on your bunny ears with the eraser end of your pencil. This way you can practice drawing the shapes until you are happy with them. Lightly draw over eraser marks with a pencil and wipe away the eraser. Paint in your bunny shape with gray fabric paint. One good coat will do. Let dry.

Step 3: Make Tail
While the paint dries, make your pink yarn pom-pom for the tail. Follow the directions on your pom-pom maker. (We used a 3-inch tool.) Now for the favorite part—trimming the tail! Use sharp scissors to trim your pom-pom so the tail is nice and round. Use a hot-glue gun to adhere tail to the bunny door hanger.

Step 4: Assemble
Fold over the top inch of fabric and hot-glue a seam on the back to create a pocket for the dowel rod to slip through. Finally, tie yarn or baker's twine around each end of the dowel rod to hang. Adjust the twine so the banner hangs evenly.
