Ice-T's 7-Year-Old Daughter Still Sleeps in Bed With Her Parents

Ice-T has revealed that his seven-year-old daughter, Chanel, still sleeps in the same bed as her parents.

The Law & Order: SVU star opened up about their atypical nighttime situation during an interview on the That Moment with Daymond John podcast today, May 9, where he discussed his bond with his youngest child, whom he shares with his wife, Coco.

“I am so much more connected to her than my other kids,” he said, referring to daughter LeTesha, 47, whom he shares with high school sweetheart Adrienne, and son Tracy, 31, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Darlene Ortiz.

Ice-T used the tidbit to emphasize the strength of his relationship with Chanel, explaining that he was "distracted" while raising his two older kids as he focused on his career. Now, he says, “I’m comfortable. I’m in a cruise pattern. I was there when Coco was pregnant, I went to the hospital, and Chanel still sleeps in the bed with us.”

The rapper seems to just be soaking in all the time he can get with his family, noting that Chanel's birth "made [him] want to live forever." He said, "It made me create new goals. It’s the best gift I could ever get," also calling having her in the second half of his life a "reset."

While some may find the sleeping arrangements a bit unusual, the couple are no strangers to criticism. Late last year, the family went viral on TikTok over a video of Chanel bathing in the kitchen sink.

"People, you gotta know by now that I'm an unconventional mother," she wrote in response to the backlash at the time. "I do what works and is easier on me. Some may want to take some pointers rather than rag on me!"
