Inside the morning routine of a fourth-year medical student

New York City-based med student Stephanie Arnouk (@stephaniearnouk) somehow finds time to eat breakfast, create content, put makeup on and study in just fifteen minutes. In this episode of ITK: First 15 Minutes, Stephanie walks us through her morning routine to see how she fits everything in.
The first thing Stephanie does after her alarm goes off is make her bed. She explains, “No matter how bad of a day you’ve had, you can always come home to a made bed. I try to do that no matter what. I also can’t get back into bed once I have made it, so it keeps me out of bed.”
Next up is coffee. Stephanie heads into the kitchen to brew herself a latte – which looks very pretty, so she shares it on her Instagram story.

“I really try to give myself a couple of minutes to myself every morning,” Stephanie explains as she sits down to drink her coffee while reading a textbook. She explains that even though she’s a fourth-year med student, the studying never ends, and she has a few things to memorize before heading to clinicals.
Once she finishes her coffee, Stephanie moves on to get dressed into scrubs and do her makeup routine. She says that she likes to do a full face of makeup daily because looking good keeps her feeling good. Stephanie’s makeup steps include a layer of sunscreen, concealer, contour, blush and mascara.
And with that, Stephanie is off to the clinic for the day. She sprints out the door to make it to the subway.
