It’s said that there are more than 45 million texts in the New York Public Library’s collection, but on Thursday, May 16 it was one specific title-the recently released Doing Justice by former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Preet Bharara-being honored.
The occasion was the spring President’s Council Dinner at the NYPL’s Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, co-chaired by Louise Grunwald, Beth and Chris Kojima, and Gayfryd Steinberg. The evening was for a select group of library boosters who have, over the past two decades, raised more than $56 million in support of the institution, and features cocktails, a conversation between Bharara and journalist Graydon Carter, and a seated dinner.
