J.K. Rowling is rolling on the floor laughing after Trump's tweet about his writing prowess includes a typo
The rule of thumb is if you ever brag about something you’re good at, don’t mess it up. Case in point: President Trump’s tweet bragging about how he wrote “many best selling books” and how he prides himself on his “ability to write.” However, the tweet itself contained a typo.
The tweet in question, which has since been deleted, reads: “After having written many best selling books, and somewhat priding myself on my ability to write, it should be noted that the Fake News constantly likes to pour over my tweets looking for a mistake. I capitalize certain words only for emphasis, not b/c they should be capitalized!”
Trump! Even the best writers have copy editors who continuously correct their work for the better. Nothing to be ashamed of, but maybe bragging about writing skills was the wrong course of action.
The tweet has drawn the attention of numerous people on Twitter, but most notably one of the most successful writers of our time, J.K. Rowling.

In fact, the author and creator of Harry Potter couldn’t contain her typed laughter.

She even commented that Trump didn’t write his books, as a ghostwriter came forward — suggesting that he’s taking credit where credit is not due.
'written' and his ghost writer's talked to the press

Rowling then called Trump the “Gratest Writer on earth.”
*wipes eyes, tries to control breathing*
Seriously, @realDonaldTrump is the Gratest Writer on earth.— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) July 3, 2018
What Trump clearly meant to write in his tweet was “pore over,” which means to study carefully. Instead, Trump wrote “pour over.”
'pore over' 🔍"to read or study very carefully"
'pour over' ??"to make expensive coffee"
'comb over' 💇?♂?"to comb hair from the side of the head to cover the bald spot"https://t.co/br20fgpmAb
