Jacob Elordi Explains How Brad Pitt's Physique in 'Troy' Inspired Him
Euphoria actor Jacob Elordi stopped by The Tonight Show Monday night in promotion of his upcoming turn as Elvis Presley in A24's Priscilla. While he was there, Jimmy Fallon grilled him on some of his "firsts," including a first celebrity crush that took Fallon by surprise.
"Brad Pitt," he said with a smile. "I think in Troy. That's a beautiful man. There's no denying that."
Pitt's appearance in the 2004 historical epic Troy is often cited as the peak of the actor's on-screen physique. He worked with celebrity trainer Duffy Gaver ahead of the role, with workouts tailored specifically to tailor his body to an ancient soldier's aesthetic.
"We talked about what is good aesthetically on the male body,” Gaver told Esquire. “If you look at Roman-Greco wrestlers they don’t go to the gym, they just do their job but they happen to look amazing. You don’t want the audience to go ‘Wow, I bet he benches a lot’. That doesn’t have anything to do with the film.”
