Jaden Smith Shows Off Physique Transformation With Before-and-After Comparison Using Old Meme of Himself

Jaden Smith has been in the public eye practically since birth as the eldest child of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. He eventually launched a career in entertainment of his own as a rapper and actor; he's also worked as a model in the past, making history in 2016 as the first man to model women's wear for Louis Vuitton.

As someone whose life is constantly up for consumption, Smith has been working on transforming his physique in recent months. On Oct. 5, the 25-year-old artist shared side-by-side photos of what his upper body used to look like and what it looks like now. On the left is a photo that made the rounds on social media as a meme, and on the right he's flexing in a mirror.

Besides letting his hair grow out and return to its dark color from the dyed pink it once was, his pecs and abs have become more prominent. While it was a noticeable transformation, Smith emphasized that people shouldn't pay more attention to him or value him more because of how he looks now, insisting that it's all about the journey.

"Haters will post the one on the left and ignore the one on the right," he said of the before-and-after shots. "Like, damn, can a man have his phases?"

It remains to be seen if his new body lands him more modeling gigs in the near future.
