Jake Gyllenhaal Shocks Fans With Ripped Physique in New Video
Given his major transformation, the actor is clearly very dedicated to his upcoming role.
Jake Gyllenhaal is ready to take on anyone after revealing his intense muscles while filming a scene for his new movie Road House, a remake of the 1989 film starring Patrick Swayze.
Gyllenhaal, 42, really got into his role as he portrayed his character, Elwood Dalton, weighing in as a UFC fighter, attempting to excite the crowd. While in character, Gyllenhaal gets face to face with MMA-fighter-turned-actor Jay Hieron, who plays his competitor in the scene, before slapping him in the face.
It's clear that Gyllenhaal put a lot of care and effort into bulking up for the Road House role, leading to the actor having an extremely toned eight-pack, with defined muscles also visible on his sides, back, and arms.
The scene continues filming, as Dalton says to an interviewer, "I can't even believe I trained six weeks for this shit, to fight this piece of shit. Just give me the belt now. Come on motherf----r. Let's go."

The official description of the new Road House film states that Gyllenhaal's character Dalton is "a former UFC fighter who takes a job as a bouncer at a rough-and-tumble roadhouse in the Florida Keys, but soon discovers that not everything is what it seems in this tropical paradise."
UFC champion Conor McGregor is also a part of the film, along with fellow cast members Billy Magnussen, Daniela Melchior, Joaquim de Almeida, Travis Van Winkle, and more.
The crew of Road House took advantage of the UFC 285 ceremonial weigh-ins taking place to film a scene for the film that couldn't feel more realistic, with real UFC fighters and fans in attendance, as well as UFC president Dana White on hand to participate in the scene.
Along with Road House, many of Swayze's hit films are getting the remake treatment, with Channing Tatum revealing in January that he's working on a remake of Ghost. Dirty Dancing is also reportedly getting a sequel.
