Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan Tease 'Freaky Friday' Sequel in Sweet Selfie

Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are counting down the days until they can reunite onscreen again.
The iconic duo, who famously starred in the 2003 Disney hit film Freaky Friday, are getting ready to swap bodies again in a long-awaited sequel, which will hopefully be in the making soon.
Curtis, 64, took to Instagram on Friday, Nov. 10, to assure fans that she and Lohan, 37, are not only still close pals, but that they are gearing up to be co-stars again now that the strikes in Hollywood are over.
"Too late. YOU GREW UP and SO BEAUTIFULLY!" Curtis wrote to her movie daughter while sharing a smiling selfie of the pair together.
"Well, it's Friday, and the strike is over so hopefully, we can switch places again in the near future!" the True Lies star teased in her caption, practically sending her followers into a spiral.
"YEEEEEEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!" one super excited fan gushed in the comments, as another person exclaimed, "YESSSS I AM SO READY FOR THIS!!!! I adore you both!!!"
"Please god make this happen ??," someone else pleaded.
Curtis and Lohan previously addressed the possibility of a sequel earlier this year when the Halloween Ends star told the New York Times that they were both willing to revisit their beloved characters, Tess and Anna Coleman.
"As I went around the world with Halloween Ends, people wanted to know if there was going to be another Freaky Friday," Curtis said at the time. "Something really touched a chord. When I came back, I called my friends at Disney and said, 'It feels like there’s a movie to be made.'"
"Jamie and I are both open to that, so we’re leaving it in the hands that be," Lohan chimed in. "We would only make something that people would absolutely adore."
Disney has since confirmed that a sequel is, in fact, in development with Elyse Hollander attached to write, though a definitive timeline for the film rollout has not yet been announced.
