Jason Kelce Teases Future With Philadelphia Eagles Beyond Being a Player
Jason Kelce has been for the Philadelphia Eagles for over a decade, but the star center has been considering his next move when he eventually walks off the field for good. He has yet to confirm whether he'll be retiring this year, though he doesn't plan on going too far when it's his time to hang up his helmet.
Kelce ruminated on his future in a Jan. 28 interview with The Philadelphia Inquirer after watching his brother Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs win the AFC Championship Game and secure their spot in Super Bowl LVIII. "You watch this and the emotion is so high," he admitted to the newspaper. "It feels so great being here on this field right now for your teammates and for the guys that are going to get an opportunity to compete for a Super Bowl. These are emotions. And these are situations that you don’t get unless you continue to go."
When it comes to his own next steps, he believes he's found a home with the Birds, regardless of the role he will play down the line. "I don’t know what’s going to happen for me. But I do know, I still want to be involved in the [Eagles] organization and still want to be a part of it, regardless of what the decision is. Because I don’t want to ever feel like I’m on the outside looking in on these achievements and these accolades and these opportunities that largely represent entire cities and fan bases and organizations," he said. "It’s too good a feeling to pass up."

As for the big game next month, Kelce is ready to support his little brother Travis as he chases after another Super Bowl ring. "I’m looking forward to watching him," the Eagles player said. “I’m looking forward to heading out to Vegas and cheering my brother on. Hopefully him and Pat [Mahomes] and Andy [Reid] and those guys can get the third one."
The Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Feb. 11.
