JD Vance’s Wife Usha Wears ’90s-inspired Outfit with Oversize Blazer for Trump’s Address to Congress
On Tuesday, Usha Vance, wife of U.S. Vice President JD Vance, joined several guests at Donald Trump’s first address to a joint session of Congress since returning to office. The second lady wore a monochromatic outfit in the ivory color palette, featuring an oversize cream blazer, pleated trousers and a white top. She accessorized with a small gold necklace.
This kind of coordinated suit in a light neutral color became particularly popular in recent years as part of the revival of 1990s-inspired tailoring but with updated proportions.

In the past few months, Usha Vance has been wearing different styles in public, from a military-inspired coat to pleated satin dresses. In her last three appearances, the second lady was wearing pieces from Favorite Daughter, a brand owned by sisters Sara and Erin Foster, daughters of record producer David Foster.
Usha wore a blue Favorite Daughter dress to visit French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, in Paris on Feb. 11. On Jan. 21, Usha wore the same style in white to attend the National Prayer Service at Washington National Cathedral, accompanied by U.S. President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania Trump. She also wore a wool coat from the brand in Germany on Feb. 13.
Usha has also worn looks by Oscar de la Renta, Reem Acra and Retrofête.
President Donald Trump delivered his first address to a joint session of Congress. First lady Melania Trump was also in attendance. She wore a Dior tweed suit in dark caviar gray for the occasion. Ivanka Trump chose a suit by Oscar de la Renta. Some of the democratic congresswomen also chose to wear pink clothing in protest of the Trump administration’s policies.
