Jeannie Mai’s Heartfelt Letter to Daughter Monaco Sheds a Light on the Music She Always Dances To
Jeannie Mai’s daughter Monaco is now two years old, and we’re wondering where the time has gone. Monaco has always been one of the coolest celebrity kiddos, but this new detail we learned from Mai’s letter shows how cosmic Monaco already is!
On Dec 30, Mai shared a series of photos of her and her darling daughter Monaco on her Instagram. She shared the photos with the caption reading, “To my dearest @monacomaijenkins, When you entered this world, you forever changed the trajectory of my life. Your adorable giggle and dance moves to anything MJ ?? remind me to cherish the simple things, and your defiance inspires me to face my challenges with courage. You brought a profound sense of purpose and fulfillment into my existence ??.”

She added, “Happy birthday, sweet Coco. Mommy is praying your journey through life be filled with deep connections and a sense of wonder that never fades. Yup, I’m bawling as I write this. M? yêu Coco m?i m?i ??? Forever yours, Mommy.”
In the photos, we see Mai looking as chic as can be in a tweed baby blue ensemble, holding Monaco, who’s in a cream ensemble of wide-legged pants and a bow-clad sweater. We then see Mai holding Monaco’s hand as she explores the Christmas trees, followed by a pic of the mother-daughter duo looking as happy as can be during the holiday season!
Can you believe Monaco is already two years old?! Because we’re wondering where the time has gone! She’s always been an expressive child, and we adore the tidbits we learn about the adorable kiddo. (And we adore the fact that she’s always grooving to Michael Jackson!)
In late 2021, she confirmed her pregnancy with her now ex-husband Jeezy on an episode of The Real. Then, fast forward a bit of time, when the pair welcomed their daughter Monaco Mai-Jenkins, now 2, into the world.
In a previous interview with PEOPLE, Mai revealed she loves “every part” of motherhood. “And it doesn’t feel like work. … Having Monaco made me feel like I’ve been born again. It sounds so overly spiritual and almost religious. But no, I just mean that, like, I see through different eyes,” she reflected.
Happy birthday Monaco!
