Jenna Ortega Wows on Emmys Red Carpet Wearing Sheer Strapless Dress

If there's one thing—aside from acting, obviously—that Jenna Ortega has nailed, it is the art of perfecting a red carpet appearance.

The Scream VI actress hit the rescheduled 2023 Emmys, which aired on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 15, at the Peacock Theater, rocking a glamorous head-turning look. The ceremony was originally slated to broadcast on Sept. 18, but was pushed back due to the respective actors' and writers' strikes at the time.

For the star-studded event, Ortega chose a Dior Haute Couture sheer strapless dress with leaf and floral detailing in subtle shades of green and pink. She accessorized with a diamond-adorned necklace and sparkly pumps.

Her beauty look perfectly complemented the outfit, as she opted to wear her hair down and rock a natural look with sparkly eyeshadow that accentuated her dress.

The 21-year-old posed along the red carpet, smiling for photographers while giving wave and smiling in a decidedly non-Wednesday manner.

This year, Ortega is nominated at the Anthony Anderson-hosted awards show in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series category for her role as Wednesday Addams in Netflix series, Wednesday.

"While attending Nevermore Academy, Wednesday Addams attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a killing spree and solve the mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago," according to the streaming service's synopsis.

The comedy-horror series first premiered in Nov. 2022, and has been renewed for a second season, though its release is currently tentative.

The Stuck in the Middle alum joins fellow nominees Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Christina Applegate (Dead to Me), Rachel Brosnahan (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), and Natasha Lyonne (Poker Face), who are also each hoping to take home the Emmy.

Additionally, Wednesday is nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series, and previously racked up 12 Primetime Emmy Awards nods.
