Jessa Duggar confronts fans who called niece's feet 'dirty'
Jessa Duggar Seewald told an Instagrammer who criticized her 3-year-old niece’s “dirty” feet that it was no big deal.
A few days ago, Jessa, 26, posted a snap of her 1-year-old son, Henry, playing with his 3-year-old cousin, Meredith, a daughter of Josh and Anna Duggar. The little girl was bent over protecting a toy her cousin attempted to steal, revealing the soles of her feet.
“Merry Christmas from our family to yours! Hopefully, there is none of this going on at your house. The gifts are fun, and the food’s gonna be great, but let’s not forget the reason for the season,” Jessa, a mother-of-two wrote, including Bible verses.
When people wrote “Dirty feet” and “Wash those feet lol,” and “Wow, her feet are dirty,” Jessa explained: “Mine look about the same. It’s 60 degrees outside today. That’s barefoot weather.”
Jessa’s admirers silenced the shamers, writing: “Dirty feet are happy feet!!!”, “And? Kids get dirty. I’m sure her parents will make sure she bathes at the end of the day,” and “Meredith’s hair looks clean though. Maybe she had been outside with bare feet.” One added that the preschooler’s feet were “Just like most kids.”
“Omg, why are half the comments about her feet?” exclaimed a follower. “They barely have any dirt on them and she’s a toddler. I don’t know if some of you guys aren’t parents or what, but toddlers are ALWAYS getting dirty. It’s called, umm life…”
