See Riccardo Tisci’s First Red Carpet Moment for Burberry

Tonight is the official kick off of the 2019 award season, with the Golden Globes honoring the best in TV and film. It's also a major first for designer Riccardo Tisci, the new artistic director of Burberry. Jessica Chastain walked the red carpet at tonight's Golden Globes wearing his very first custom red carpet look. The designer, formerly of Givenchy, took over the iconic British brand in 2018, presenting his first collection at London Fashion Week in September with a whopping 108-look show.
The new mom stunned as she made her entrance at tonight's awards ceremony, wearing a custom-made black silk corset gown with hand-embroidered chiffon cape, her hair pulled back into a sleek high ponytail and statement earrings by Piaget.
Tisci is no stranger to red-carpet dressing though. At Givenchy, where he helped redefine the iconic house, he become highly regarded amongst the hottest faces of Hollywood. Rooney Mara, Cate Blanchett, Beyonce, Kim Kardashian just to name a few, were some of his most adoring fans, filling his front rows and walking the carpet at any major event in his creations.
Since Tisci's Burberry takeover, countless models and celebrities have already shown support by wearing their new Burberry trench coats, or other runway pieces from the debut collection.
In fact, Tisci's last major red carpet moment was at the 2017 Oscars. Emma Stone wore a custom gold column gown with fringed skirt. It turned out to be a winning dress indeed-as Stone not only took home high honors as best dressed, but also won the big award, Best Actress for her role in La La Land.
