Jonathan Scott Proves He's Zooey Deschanel's No. 1 Fan by Recreating Classic 'Elf' Scene

It turns out Jonathan Scott has a little bit of an Elf fantasy going on!
During an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, Nov. 16, the Property Brothers star joked about forcing Zooey Deschanel into a reenactment of the classic holiday film, which just celebrated its 20th anniversary.
While discussing family traditions for the holidays, Fallon couldn’t help but poke a little fun at the reality star, questioning how into the movie, which stars his fiancée, he is, and how “weirded out” she may be as a result.
Quick on his feet, Jonathan replied, “Well, it weirds her out because I make her dress up like Jovie—blonde wig and everything.”
His brother Drew jumped in on the fun, claiming, “He stands at the edge of the shower when she’s in there all the time.”
This is, of course, a reference to Will Ferrell’s character Buddy entering the women’s locker room at her character’s place of employment and singing along with her as she showers, immediately scaring her.
“Really don’t stay,” he sang, fumbling the words to “Baby It’s Cold Outside” before mimicking Deschanel: “Shut up, Jonathan!”
On a more serious note, he explained that the New Girl alum doesn’t particularly care to watch herself on the screen. Jonathan, on the other hand, has loved Elf all along, so he and Deschanel’s two kids, Charlie Wolf, 6, and daughter Elsie Otter, 8, will sit down to watch it together.
Drew took one more stab at his brother before the clip ended, joking that if Deschanel “knew how much Jonathan was obsessed with [the film] before meeting her, she probably would have had a restraining order against him.”
Of course, that was never the case, and the two are now preparing to wed—with Jonathan very excited about including something his first wife "forbid" from the ceremony.
