JWoww Opens Up About Miscarriage on 'Jersey Shore'
On Thursday night’s episode of Jersey Shore Family Vacation, Jenni “JWoww” Farley revealed she had a miscarriage before filming started on a season of the original Jersey Shore series.
JWoww opened up about her miscarriage, which happened before their Italy season, in a conversation with Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino. “Right before Italy, like three or four weeks before Italy, my grandmother passed. And me and Roger actually lost a baby, like I ended up pregnant. Not a lot of people know,” she said. “And they put me on medication because of it, because I, like couldn’t handle life.”
She added that the trauma in her life led her to take a mix of medications that affected her well-being during the show’s filming. 'But the medication, it was like Xanax. It would take me down, like downers, it was making me so groggy," she said. "Then I started taking uppers with it, segue right into Italy. I was a f-ing mess.”
The Situation, who is now sober, also talked about his issues with addiction during that season. He noted that one of the show's most talked about moments, when he slammed his head into a wall, was a result of withdrawal. "I didn't want to admit it to people in that time period," he said.
JWoww and her husband, Roger, now have two children, Meilani and Greyson. And she has been open about the stresses that came with her pregnancy.
