Kansas City Shelter Gets Almost Every Cat Adopted After Viral TikTok Video
The power of social media is incredible.
Sometimes social media can be such a wonderful thing, especially when the end result is finding shelter animals their forever homes. That's exactly what happened when the Wayside Waifs in Kansas City posted a video of their shelter cats that went viral on TikTok.
Check out the original video the shelter posted that resulted in all but two kitties finding homes.

From KMBC.com, "It was actually something that one of our feline care technicians thought of. What kind of animal likes people? What kind of animal would wanna snuggle with the other kittens?” Casey Waugh with Wayside Waifs said. Waugh also drew attention to how many people viewed the video and how widespread it became with, "We have comments from Brazil and the Philippines and the UK all these amazing places." The video has over a million views and four thousand comments.
People on Facebook are thrilled for these sweet kitties and @Shirley Smith comments, "So happy for all that got adopted.Thank GOD." @Theresa Geer adds, "Congratulations to all of you."
It's always so heartwarming when stories like this happen. The ideal goal is for every adoptable pet to find a loving home and for pet owners to spay and neuter their pets so we can help stem the number of homeless cats and dogs in shelters. Here's hoping this sweet story is just part of a bigger trend with finding adoptable kitties and puppies safe and loving homes.
