How did Season 3 of The Kardashians end?
After the family celebrated Christmas together, Season 3 ended with the sudden passing of Tristan Thompson's mother, Andrea Thompson. "I think we were all in shock," Kris said in a confessional. Following her death, Tristan became the legal guardian of his little brother Amari, who according to Khloé is "severely disabled." Tristan and his brother ended up moving into Khloé's house until his home—which was flooded because the roof caved in—was fixed.
Khloé clarified during the episode that she and Tristan were not back together. "I just think this is what family does," she said. "When sh-t hits the fan, all you have is your family and Tristan and I are family and we're gonna be family for the rest of our lives." Khloé also noted. "You don't have to treat me right for me to treat you right. It's not the way I was raised."
Khloé described Season 3 as "sort of exhausting," while matriarch Kris said it's "been a whirlwind of a year," adding, "Breakups and makeups and now a death in the family and it's been overwhelming on certain days, but we made it through and all that really matters is my family and the love that we have for each other."
