Kate Middleton's Maternity Leave Will End Next Week
After a few months keeping out of the public eye (relatively speaking, of course), the Duchess of Cambridge will return from her maternity leave next Tuesday. This morning, Kensington Palace announced that Kate will visit the Sayers Croft Forest School and Wildlife Garden at Paddington Recreation Ground on October 2.

Kate took several months off from public engagements following the birth her of third child, Prince Louis on April 23.
"It is traditional for new royal mums to take a six-month break from official engagements," royal biographer Duncan Larcombe told HarpersBazaar.com earlier this year. "[Prince Harry's] wedding doesn’t count because it was a 'family affair' but other than that, she will pick and choose her engagements. If she wanted, Kate could disappear into the background until October!"
Larcombe was right on the money.
Indeed, Duchess Kate has been spotted over the summer at some family events including her brother-in-law Prince Harry's wedding to Meghan Markle in May, two days of Wimbledon in July, and several events surrounding the 100th anniversary of the RAF. She has also been photographed at private events such as her close friend Sophie Carter's wedding this past weekend, but in terms of public duties, she's kept things to a minimum.
Following her visit to Sayers Croft Forest School, which is an outdoor learning center in Surrey, Duchess Kate will have a busy fall. She will attend Princess Eugenie's wedding on October 10 (no word yet on whether George and Charlotte will be in the bridal party), and at some point during the season, she will become an aunt for the first time; Kate's sister Pippa is expecting her first child with husband James Matthews.
