Kate Middleton Hired a Former Fashion Editor to be Her New Stylist
Kate Middleton is trying to step up her fashion game-and is doing so with the help of a new stylist who used to be the retail editor for British Vogue. The Daily Mail reports that the Duchess of Cambridge tapped Virginia "Ginnie" Chadwyck-Healey, a 36-year-old stylist who has history with the Duchess. The two are longtime friends and both attended St Andrews University at the same time. They studied the same subject: history of art. Chadwyck-Healey even attended Kate's wedding in 2011.
A royal source told The Daily Mail's Richard Eden that "Ginnie is Catherine’s secret weapon. She has made a big difference to the Duchess’s wardrobe for public engagements and has helped give her a whole new sense of confidence. Catherine has been really impressed and is very grateful for her help."
Ginnie, by the way, is a British aristocrat. As the Daily Mail points out, she is the daughter of 3rd Lord Strathalmond. And like Kate, she is a mother with young children. She and her husband Oliver Chadwyck-Healey have two daughters, who are four and two years old, respectively.

Kate worked before with Natasha Archer, who's currently on maternity leave. Archer often had designers send samples to Kensington Palace, something Chadwyck-Healey is likely doing as well in the role. The Duchess usually tries the clothes with her stylist with her, and together, the women choose what Kate will wear to her royal engagements.
Kate last stepped out on Thursday when she attended a Scouting event in Gilwell Park. The Duchess of Cambridge chose a very casual outfit for that event. She wore a burgundy J.Crew sweater, a green jacket, skinny jeans, and boots.
