Kate Middleton wears head-to-toe green for Ireland visit
Kate Middleton and Prince William arrived at Dublin International Airport on Tuesday to start their official royal tour of Ireland — and they both certainly dressed the part.
The couple dressed diplomatically in varying shades of green, with Prince William, 37, sporting a forest green tie while 38-year-old Kate wowed in a head-to-toe green ensemble.
The duchess’s dark green coat by British designer Catherine Walker (a favorite of Princess Diana) and coordinating suede heels complemented her husband’s outfit. However, it was Kate’s striking midi dress that took center stage.
The bold emerald dress, featuring an abstract rose print, is by London-based designer Alessandra Rich. The look from Rich’s Spring 2020 collection currently isn’t available to purchase.
The duchess has been seen in many of Rich’s designs in recent years. She first debuted an ‘80s-inspired polka-dot dress during Prince Charles’s 70th birthday portraits in November 2018.
She wore the dress again last May during a visit to the Bletchley Park D-Day exhibition.
The ensemble was finished off with a green suede Dora clutch by one of the duchess’s go-to high street brands: L.K. Bennett.
Following their airport arrival, the royal couple met with the president of Ireland at Aras an Uachtarain, his official residence.
The first day of the tour will also see the duke and duchess lay a wreath at the Garden of Remembrance, as well as attend an evening reception at the Guinness Store House.
