Kate Middleton and Prince William Just Changed Their Instagram Name
Kensington Royal is no more ... at least as an Instagram display name. In a seemingly random move, Kate Middleton and Prince William changed the name of their social media profile to their official titles "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge." The handle is still @kensingtonroyal which refers to their official residence at Kensington Palace,
In the comments, fans seem to love the change calling it "more personal" and "appropriate." One person commented on a recent post, "I got used to 'Kensington Palace,' but the new name is probably more appropriate."

While its a small move, it is yet another example of how the Cambridges seem to be taking their roles as the faces of the royal family seriously during the pandemic. On Instagram specifically, the couple has been using their platform to start a photography project to promote unity and spread the message about the ensuing mental health crisis.
Royal expert Katie Nicholls recently explained the move to Entertainment Tonight. "I think the Cambridges have really stepped up to the plate providing a nice dose of entertainment for us, and of course [it’s] a real treat for royal fans seeing so much of the Cambridge children," she told them.
