Kate Middleton and Prince William Made a Christmas Cooking Show, and I Couldn’t Be More Excited
Prepare yourself for A Berry Royal Christmas, aka a Christmas special that Prince William and Kate Middleton filmed with “cookery legend” Mary Berry.
In the special, Will, Kate, and Mary “prepare festive food for a very royal event.” And while I’m not totally sure what that means, I will one hundred percent be watching!
Fellow royal nerds and The Great British Bake Off fans: Our time has finally come! In an effort to make all my holiday dreams come true/promote their charitable work, Prince William and Kate Middleton announced that they’ve teamed up with Mary Berry (aka OG Great British Bake Off host) for a Christmas special this year, and I’M SO EXCITED.
According to @KensingtonRoyal, the special, called A Berry Royal Christmas, will follow
the royals and Mary “as they serve a festive feast to thank those who are spending their Christmas helping others.” Will and Kate’s Instagram adds, “On the BBC’s A Berry Royal Christmas ?? The Duke and Duchess are joined by cookery legend Mary Berry across four engagements as they prepare festive food for a very royal event to thank all those working and volunteering over the Christmas period.”
A second post on the royal’s Insta gives a sneak peek at the special and shows that it will include Will, Kate, and Mary hosting a holiday party, talking about the causes the duke and duchess support, and visiting charitable organizations to hear more about the work they’re doing.
Basically, it’s going to be a good time, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that at least one of Will and Kate’s kids makes a special appearance, because truly, is there anything cuter than a toddler in a holiday sweater? I think not!
The special will air December 16 on BBC.
