Kate Middleton Is Reportedly Trying To 'Patch Things Up In Private' With Meghan Markle
Kate Middleton is reportedly trying to “patch things up” with Meghan Markle in the wake of her emotional new documentary.
Kate is said to have reached out to Meghan and spoken to her on the phone.
If you watched the new documentary about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal tour, you know the duchess has been going through it. At one point, Meghan was visibly near tears on camera and spoke candidly about how hard the British press has been on her, and it’s clear that she’s really struggling. So...how do Kate Middleton and Prince William fit into all this—especially given perpetual and, frankly, exhausting rumors of a royal feud? There’s actually some good news on that front: Kate has reportedly reached out to Meghan in an attempt to be there for her.
This news comes courtesy of royal expert and author Phil Dampier, who explained the following to The Express:
“Behind the scenes, I’m told Kate is doing her best to bring everyone together and help Meghan. None of them want to let the Queen down so Kate is trying to patch things up in private. I’m told she has reached out to Meghan and spoken to her on the phone. Kate feels sorry for her and knows that Meghan is struggling.”
It’s unclear if Kate and William watched the documentary on Meghan and Harry, but in it, Meghan is asked point-blank if she’s doing okay. Her response is best described as heartbreaking:
“Any woman, especially when they’re pregnant, you’re really vulnerable, and so that was made really challenging,” Meghan said. “And then when you have a newborn, you know. And especially as a woman, it’s a lot. So you add this on top of just trying to be a new mom or trying to be a newlywed. It’s, um…yeah. I guess, also, thank you for asking because not many people have asked if I’m okay, but it’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes.”
And when the interviewer presses, “Would it be fair to say [that you’re] not really okay, as in it’s really been a struggle?” Meghan answers, “Yes.”
ITV's @tombradby spoke to Meghan as he gained exclusive access to the royal couple as they toured Africa for 10 days with their son Archie.

Here’s to hoping Meghan gets more support going forward.
