Nailed it. Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton was a bridal vision in an ethereal, pale blush gown at a black-tie dinner hosted by Norway’s royals on Thursday, February 1.

The pregnant British royal chose a very familiar designer for the occasion, which was held at the royal palace in Oslo. The lavish affair itself was hosted by Norwegian King Harald and Queen Sonja, as well as Prince Haakon and Princess Mett-Marit.

For the occasion, the Duchess was equal parts resplendent and regal in a caped, floor-length, bridal-inspired gown by Alexander McQueen. The piece featured an empire waist and a delicate brocade of jewels encrusting her collarbone and shoulders.

The mother of two paired her outfit with gorgeous diamond earrings and a diamond bracelet bearing both historical and sentimental significance.

The bracelet is the same piece donned by Queen Elizabeth II on her wedding day. That wasn’t the only connection to weddings though at this particular event.

As recalled, Middleton famously chose a custom Alexander McQueen creation by Sarah Burton for her 2011 wedding to Prince William.
