Kate Upton and Justin Verlander Marry in Italy Wedding After His World Series Win
When it rains, it certainly pours. Days after Justin Verlander and the Houston Astros won the World Series, the athlete and his fiancee, model Kate Upton, flew to Italy for their wedding held Saturday, November 4.
The couple wed inside a medieval church based in Tuscany’s Rosewood Castiglion Del Bosco resort, according to TMZ.
Paparazzi photos show the couple joyously emerging from their church to greet an intimate group of family members and friends. The bride looked lovely in a long-sleeve gown comprised of white lace, paired with a matching lace veil. Verlander accompanied his wife in a black suit. Both held glasses of wine as they toasted to their new marriage. (When in Italy wine country, right?)
The couple have been an item since 2014. In 2016, the pitcher proposed to Upton with a custom-designed diamond by Anita Ko. The model revealed her engagement on the red carpet of the 2016 Met Gala.
