Kathie Lee Gifford Hailed a 'Beautiful Light' for 'Refreshing' Message to Fans: 'Speak the Truth'
Kathie Lee Gifford has been open about the role faith plays in her life throughout her career; recently, she called her recovery from a fractured pelvis a "miracle." Now the former Today host is sending a faith-filled message to fans, and it seems they're listening.
In a video shared to her Instagram on Tuesday, Sept. 24, Gifford addressed the current state of affairs in the Middle East and how her faith calls her to pray for "everybody who's in harm's way."
"Hi everybody, I'm Kathie Lee Gifford standing outside my house in Tennessee where my mezuzah has been for a long, long time," Gifford said in the clip as she stood in front of her home's entrance wearing a slate-colored sweater and light grey scarf.
"It reminds me of God's bounty, his providence, and his faithfulness. And it reminds me also to pray every day for all those who are in harm's way in the Middle East," she continued.
"I love the Holy Land, I've been going since I was a child, studying and worshipping. And I love all the people of the world that are made in God's image. So I especially pray for everybody who's in harm's way. You know, the scripture is very clear, that says, 'Don't say you love God but you hate your brother or you hate your sister.' You know, God doesn't hate anything except hatred. So let's do what would please him. Love others as he loves us. Shalom and God bless you all."

Gifford's followers praised the TV personality for her words.
"God Bless you, Dear Kathie Gifford! What a beautiful light you are in Jesus!" wrote one fan.
"Your words are so beautiful and speak the truth. It’s sad our world has stepped away from church and scripture. If we all started our day with one verse it’s a start to having a great day which I believe would turn things around. ???? thank you," commented a second person.
"Beautifully said. Refreshing to hear a voice of reason and goodness," agreed a third Instagram user.
