Katie Holmes Is Dropping Jaws While Wearing the Sexiest Old Hollywood Dress

Folks, Katie Holmes doesn't miss with her fashion choices.
Back in September 2018, the former Dawson's Creek star had everyone's jaws on the floor when she stepped out for the New York Collection by Harry Winston event at the Rainbow Room. The actress strutted New York City's streets in a red cocktail dress featuring a V-neckline and hung off the shoulders. The sleeves also had a cape-like look to them, giving a modern twist to the retro outfit.
For accessories, Katie chose to pair the frock with champagne-colored shoes that had a unique lace-up detail. As for jewelry, she wore diamond earrings and a choker necklace adorned with diamonds and emeralds. Her short dark hair was curled into a 1940s-inspired style. To pull everything together, the Ohio native donned a classic eye and red lip to match the rest of the look.
When photos from the event eventually circulated on Instagram, fans couldn't get enough of the Batman Begins actress' not-so-subtle nod to old Hollywood. Without skipping a beat, lots of folks immediately began commenting on the look.
"Very beautiful ????????????," one person wrote. "Stunning!!! ?? her style," another added. "Gorgeous," a different follower replied.
No matter what Katie decides to wear to a red carpet event, she always finds a unique way to have all eyes on her. She would prove this theory just four years later, when she showed up to the 2022 CFDA Awards in a sleeveless crystal dress that looked like she wore nothing underneath. She also has an affinity for modernizing classic fashion staples, as she did with a white dress and black blazer combo at Paris Fashion Week in October.
