Katie Holmes is praised for not retouching her stretch marks: 'You aren't afraid to show your body exactly how it is'
Katie Holmes shared unedited photos from a shoot with Vogue Australia — and her followers are applauding her for keeping it real.
The Logan Lucky actress, 40, posted the behind-the-scenes snapshots on Instagram. In them, the brunette poses in a black blazer, unbuttoned to reveal a bra and pants. The skin-baring photos also show her stomach, and her followers couldn’t help but applaud her for not retouching her stretch marks.
In the comments, Holmes was praised for how “beautiful and natural” she looked. “You aren’t afraid to show your body exactly how it is,” wrote one follower.
Another called her “bold” for showing her “pregnancy warrior marks.”
The marks were also referred to as “lioness stripes,” which are one called the “true beauty of a mother.”
It made this commenter below, who admitted to zooming in on Holmes’s picture, cry — and hopefully accept her own body, in all its glory, a little bit more.

There were also some marriage proposals — and head shaking at Holmes’s ex, Jamie Foxx.
Holmes is mom to a 13-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise, with ex Tom Cruise, whom she split from in 2012. She recently said that having Suri at 27 — and being her primary caregiver — mother and daughter really grew up together.
“It’s been nice that our ages fit,” the Dawson’s Creek alum told Elle UK. “How do I put this? Every age that my child has been and my age at that time has been a good match. We kind of grew up together.”
Now that Suri is older, mother and daughter even exercise together.
“Sometimes I work out with my daughter,” Holmes told Shape. “It just depends on the day. We have our routines, and occasionally they overlap.”
The pair also regularly take in Broadway shows, sporting events and concerts.
