Kelly Clarkson Blew Everyone Away With This Powerful Tribute to Reba McEntire

Here’s your one chance, Kelly Clarkson, don’t let Reba McEntire down!
During the 41st Annual Kennedy Center Honors, Kelly paid a sweet tribute to Reba, who became her mother-in-law when Kelly married Reba’s former stepson Brandon Blackstock. (Though Reba divorced Brandon's dad, Narvel Blackstock, in 2015, she still remains close with Brandon and Kelly.) Kelly first gave a moving speech about Reba, calling her a “rad grandma” to her kids, and followed it up with a rendition of Reba’s hit song “Fancy.”
Kelly, 36, jokingly pleaded with the crowd, “Don’t judge me” before beginning her performance. But her nerves were hardly necessary as she belted out a show-stopping version of the classic that Reba first made famous in the '90s.
Though the 63-year-old honoree was thrilled with Kelly’s take, enthusiastically clapping and giving a thumbs-up while she was on stage, viewers were even more impressed with her powerful performance.
“OH. MY. LORD..I just watched Kelly Clarkson sing Reba’s ‘Fancy’ for The Kennedy Center Honors and my life is now complete,” gushed one fan. Others said they had “no words” for the act, with another saying “Kelly Clarkson singing 'Fancy' in the Kennedy Center to Reba McEntire’s face is like, so many dreams I have had.”
The studio audience, particularly Adam Lambert and Little Big Town’s Kimberly Schlapman, was also “grooving to the music” as one user pointed out. “Man you rocked that song,” they praised.
There’s one fan, though, that summed up our thoughts exactly: “One day I can only hope to be a part of @kelly_clarkson & @reba’s family. BEST Christmas EVER.” Agreed!
