Kelsea Ballerini Stuns in Black Romper During Los Angeles Outing
Kelsea Ballerini is entering a new era—and looking great while doing it!
The 29-year-old singer celebrated the upcoming release of Rolling Up the Welcome Mat (For Good)–a new version of her EP, Rolling Up the Welcome Mat, that came out on Feb. 14–with a special screening of her short film.
While attending the screening at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, Ballerini looked stunning and sophisticated in a strapless black mini romper with scalloped edges, showing off her toned legs, with her blonde shoulder-length hair worn down.
The short film–also called Rolling Up the Welcome Mat–was written and directed by Ballerini, with both the movie and album exploring the end of her marriage with Morgan Evans from her perspective.
Now, Ballerini is going down a new path, with the re-release, Rolling Up the Welcome Mat (For Good), focusing on healing and moving on. It's set to be released on Aug. 11.
Ballerini is very excited about the new project, recently posting about it on Instagram with an emotional message.
She wrote, "'it’s kinda scary opening a wound that time has mended'…but this unexplainably transformative welcome mat had one last bit of rolling up to do ??."
The songstress also asked her fans for a meaningful favor, saying, "from the deepest and purest part of my heart, i ask that you help this be ours and let the music simply be the music, not dig back into the experience that it was written about nearly a year ago."
Ballerini emphasized that she wants to "continue growing, healing, and evolving together with acceptance and kindness," instead of dwelling on the past.
As for why Ballerini is coming out with the new version, she told the audience at the screening, simply, "There's more to the story. 'Leave Me Again' was never the last song."
Keep an eye out for the release of Rolling Up the Welcome Mat (For Good) on Aug. 11.
