Kendall Jenner Explained Why She Wasn’t at Kylie's Baby Stormi’s First Birthday Party
Kendall Jenner missed the biggest Kardashian-Jenner party of the year so far: Stormi World, the amusement-park first birthday that her sister Kylie spent months planning for her daughter Stormi Webster. But that was never supposed to happen originally, Kendall told Jimmy Fallon last night.
Kendall was in New York City for fashion week when Kylie threw the party last Saturday. But she was available for the party's original date, she explained.
"I was so upset [to miss it]," Kendall started. "So it was supposed to happen on her [Stormi's] actual birthday I'm pretty sure on the first, and it rained and everything kind of got postponed so it didn't happen until I was out of town, which was very unfortunate because I would have loved to go and it looked really amazing. But she really went all-out."
Kendall did ask Kylie the question most people had regarding that birthday party, too. Why spend so much money to make a literal amusement park for your 2-year-old child who is too young to really remember it and fully enjoy it? "I said something to her, I was like, 'You know she's one? Like, I don't know if she's gonna remember this. Like, I love you for the effort but like…’" Kendall started.
But Kylie, a near-billionaire, had a fair response: "She was like, 'I really don't care. I just really want to do it,'" Kendall said. "I was like, 'You now what? More power to you. Do it. Go for it.’"
Back in November, Kendall talked about her relationship with her niece Stormi. "I find a very special connection with Stormi," she told E!. "[It could be] because she's my younger sister's daughter. We have a nice bond."
On Stormi's actual birthday, Kendall posted a tribute to her. Her caption gave more detail about their relationship, along with the great nickname Kendall has for her. "Sweet, tiny noodle! Your energy is powerful, I hope the world offers you nothing but beautiful things. I love you Stormeroo! Happy 1st birthday ??"
