Kesha Just Slayed Her Grammys Performance
Kesha was joined by Cyndi Lauper, Camila Cabello, Bebe Rexha, and other artists for a stunning performance of "Praying," off her album Rainbow, at the 2018 Grammys. It was a highlight of the evening and a reminder that, no, Ed Sheeran should not have taken home the Grammy for best pop solo performance for "Shape of You." That award belonged to Kesha.
Kesha was introduced by Janelle Monae, who made the most pointed Time's Up reference of the evening. "We come in peace, but we mean business," she said. "To those who dare try and silence us, we offer you two words: Time's Up."
Released in July of last year, "Praying" was Kesha's first single in four years, and her first release since the start of her legal battle with Dr. Luke. "This is just the beginning," Kesha wrote in Lenny Letter at the time. "I am so happy and grateful to begin sharing all the music I have been writing with the world. I’ve written a record that reveals my vulnerabilities, and I have found strength in that."
