Kevin Bacon Applauds 'Fashion Forward' Wife Kyra Sedgwick With Throwback Pic
Kyra Sedgwick has always had a killer sense of style, and her husband Kevin Bacon appreciates it.
As for his own fashion sense? The Footloose star is the first to admit that his wife has him beat when it comes to their wardrobe portfolios, and he's got the photo evidence to prove it.
Bacon, 64, recently shared a throwback photo from the Los Angeles premiere of Apollo 13 back in 1995, when he and Sedgwick, now 57, walked the red carpet while achieving slightly different levels of style.
As seen in the pic, Sedgwick put on a trendy display for the event, which took place at the Academy Theatre in Beverly Hills on June 22, 1995. Wearing a plunging, full-length black gown with a graphic of Queen Elizabeth I stamped on the front, Sedgwick looked a tad fancier than the One Way actor, who opted for a casual t-shirt and jeans.
"On this day, 28 years ago, Apollo 13 was released," Bacon wrote in the caption of his Instagram post on Friday, June 30, calling the film, "A once in a lifetime shoot and a movie that I was truly proud to be a part of."
"Kyra looking beautiful and fashion forward, me wearing the same boring thing I wear today!" he quipped.
But despite his self-deprecating humor, Bacon's fans were insistent that he could rock just about anything, even if it is just a plain white tee.
"That my Friend, is not boring," one fan wrote. "That is being content, knowing 'I look Good!' Nothing wrong with that??."
"Kevin, you do you!," someone else implored.
"You both look great then and current day!," another comment wrote, while encouraging the actor, "Don’t change a thing."
"Best matched couple EVER!! You two are my idols!!??," someone else chimed in—and we couldn't agree more!
