KFC's New Fried Item Has Fans Hoping It 'Makes It to the USA' Menu
KFC announced an exciting addition to the menu that has fans hyped up, but unfortunately, it will only be available in Australia, at least for now.
Food influencer Snackolator shared the big news, writing, "KFC just dropped FRIED COOKIE DOUGH in Australia and I'm sorry KFC, but we're not talking right now!"
"This is so simple, but you get fried balls of chocolate chip cookie dough in a KFC container and it just looks magical," they went on. "I can only hope it makes it to the USA because it looks awesome."
The new KFC Fried Cookie Dough is a limited-time menu item, as reported by Sydney's KIIS 1065, available from Aug. 6 to Sept. 2.
KFC Australia CMO Tami Cunningham said of the new treat, “We’re always seeking to delight fans of our iconic fried chicken with new and exciting taste sensations, and we’re thrilled to introduce this delightfully moreish treat for those with a sweet tooth to enjoy after their KFC meal.”
Many KFC fans reacted to the delicious-looking new snack, with positive responses like, "Be still my heart! ??," "Omg! ????," and "Heck yeah!"
Upset American fans lamented the fact that it's only available in Australia, saying, "Why can’t they have this in US ??," and "Bring it to USA, start a petition ????."
"How typical yet another USA L," said another, while someone else claimed, "Non-Americans always have it good."
One particularly enthusiastic fan added, "OMG, this is NOT really happening! ?? i NEED to try! ??."
As of writing, there is no word on whether or not KFC will bring the Fried Cookie Dough to any other countries, but fans are keeping their fingers crossed that it will happen one day.
In the last couple of months, Australia got another experimental menu addition from KFC. The fast food chain added the Waffle Double Down, with a soft waffle, smoky maple mayo and bacon between two chicken filets, and fans were unsure what to think.
