Kindhearted Man Rescues and Releases Cardinal After It Fell and Injured Itself
The bird had flown into the window before meeting the kind man.
Sometimes, helping an animal is as easy as waiting for it to cross the road before you continue driving. Other times, though, it takes a little bit of effort to go above and beyond for a furry--or in this case, feathered--friend.
Texas radio show host @rexfromc101 uploaded the sweetest video to TikTok showing him caring for an injured cardinal. The bird had injured itself flying into the window, but the animal lover wasted no time coming to the rescue. He took such great care of the bird that he was able to release it in no time at all.

We love a happy ending! This little bird's recovery couldn't have gone better. Rex kept the animal stable, calm, and still until it was able to feel like itself again. The poor thing was probably so shaken up from the injury!
"Awww! Did it fly away?" asked @thejeldiaries. You'll be happy to know that, yes, it did! We were very glad to see that answer from Rex, especially since we don't get to see the bird taking off in the video. One thing we do know for sure, though, is that this man is a hero!
@Jodyann520 said, "you can tell a lot about a person by the way they treat animals," and we think she's exactly right. We love that Rex didn't hesitate at all to help the critter, even if he was left one-handed for the rest of his chores.
"..............was that man cleaning the stove too?" @amynicole_a asked. "It's a unicorn." LOL! If rescuing the bird wasn't enough of a move to show the world what kind of person this radio host is, scrubbing the stove sure was!
