KNWA/FOX24, others support animals in need at “Wags and Bags”
LOWELL, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — KNWA/FOX24, along with various other organizations, contributed to assisting four-legged friends in need by supporting the “Wags and Bags” event this past weekend.
Wags to Riches partnered with the Humane Society for Animals to host its third-annual “Wags and Bags” event in Lowell on July 27.

The event featured pickleball and cornhole tournaments as well as a silent auction. All the money raised from the event goes toward food, medication and veterinary services for adoptable dogs and cats.
“The demand is great,” Jason Bohannon, Human Society for Animals president, said. “The demand for food, the demand for medication, the demand for spay and neutered and then also the education of why it’s important to spay and neuter. So, we don’t see an end in sight for the need to find these dogs and cats a forever home.”
