Kris Jenner, 65, Has 8 Tips For Keeping Her Skin Looking As Good As Her Daughters’
Kris Jenner has many titles but a new rumored one she's working on is beauty entrepreneur. The reality TV mogul recently started speculation around launching a skincare line when she recently filed to trademark “Kris Jenner Beauty,” “Kris Jenner Skin” and “Kris Jenner Skincare” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. And, it's no surprise—I want in on whatever she's doing to look as good as she does at 65!
She confirmed the rumors with WSJ. Magazine saying, "About four or five years ago, I decided to formulate a skincare line….I had some samples done up. So I do have a skin-care line that I love that’s ready to go….When the time is right, a year from now, maybe two." Ugh, the anticipation! Luckily the "momager" has shared a handful of her skincare secrets over the years that can get us by until she decides to launch the line.
She invests in her skin.
“I’m obsessed with my skin and have always taken really good care of it,” she tells WSJ. Magazine. “I had my first facial when I was a very young girl and just never stopped, really. It was always a priority." She also believes in starting at a young age. "I think really good skin starts when you're young," Jenner told Refinery29. "When I was really young, I realized the value of a super-creamy moisturizer and getting facials from time to time to really help take care of my skin."
She keeps her routine simple.
"I just think it’s really important for older women to realize that if they just take care of their skin, it’s not complicated," Jenner told WSJ. Magazine. While she's never shared in-depth details about her routine, it's clear she believes in the power of a good moisturizer and facials. She shared with Refinery29 that two of her go-to moisturizers include Thibiant Beverly Hills New Radiance Optimum Synergy Cream, which retails for a cool $215, and good ol' La Mer. As she puts it: "Who doesn't love La Mer?"
She's a fan of Botox.
Referencing Botox, Jenner told People, "For me, it’s been really great. If you’re responsible, and you talk to your doctor, I think it works. It’s something that I’ve been using for a long time.”
She is always open to trying new things.
“Personal care is really important,” Jenner told People. “I taught my kids that when they were really young. And then they remind me of the horror stories of getting their first bikini waxes! We love great beauty experiences and learning about new things and new products.”
She gets tips from her famous daughters.
"My kids are pretty specific about the way you apply certain products," Jenner told Refinery29. "Like, you rub everything upward and across the face and the neck. The application of giving yourself your own mini face massage is amazing."
She understands the importance of SPF.
"When I was growing up, we just put baby oil and iodine all over and sat there with a reflector on the beach and it was as much sun as we could get," Jenner says. "We didn’t know any better. Now, this generation really takes care of themselves in a way that we just weren’t educated to back in the day. Just the other day, all the kids were in the pool, and they were slathering on sunscreen and I thought, OK, good point, better get something for my face."
She always washes her face with a washcloth.
“Wash your face every night using a hot terry cloth washcloth. It acts as a natural exfoliant by loosening dead skin cells, opens up the pores, and softens the skin, prepping it for your night treatments," Jenner told Poosh.
She's a proponent of dental health.
"Make sure you get a new toothbrush every three weeks to support dental health. Your mouth is like the holy grail of your body, and it’s so important to take care of your teeth. Don’t forget to floss every night,” Jenner told Poosh.
