Kristin Cavallari marks anniversary of brother's death with a heartbreaking message: 'He's not coming back, and the shock is finally gone'
Nov. 27 is a tough day for Kristin Cavallari.
The Hills alum marks the death of her older brother, Michael, on this day each year. In 2015, Michael’s family and law enforcement officers began a days-long search for him, after finding his wrecked car abandoned in rural, southern Utah on Nov. 27, 2015. They finally discovered his body on Dec. 10 at the bottom of a hill. He died from hypothermia, according to the medical examiner.

She was relieved in February after consulting Tyler Henry on his show Hollywood Medium on her brother’s death. Henry assured her that Michael, who had struggled with mental illness, wanted to live.
“I have no doubt in my mind — based on all of the details and validations that have came through today — that he didn’t intend to end his life,” Henry said.
Cavallari said the loss had truly rocked her family, but it had also made them closer.
“My parents have been divorced, they’ve both been remarried, but it’s brought the three of us together,” she said. “And even Mike, in spirit, you know it’s kind of brought us back to that core family, which has been really nice.”
