Lady Gabriella Windsor's Tiara Almost Fell Off Her Head During Her Royal Wedding

In a new interview, Lady Gabriella Windsor (known as "Ella" to her friends) opened up about her wedding day. As a royal (she's the Queen's first cousin once removed), Ella had the privilege of saying "I do" in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, a slew of blue-blooded guests, and-perhaps best of all-pairing her wedding dress with a tiara.
Ella chose to wear the Kent City of London Fringe tiara, a gorgeous, diamond-studded sparkler with a special family connection. Both her mother, Princess Michael of Kent, and her grandmother, Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent, tied the knot in the same tiara.
Royals have outfit malfunctions, too, though-and when Ella was walking down the aisle to meet her husband, Thomas Kingston, the family jewel almost fell off her head. "Suddenly I could feel my tiara start to pull back and in those few unnerving moments I thought it would come crashing down with an almighty clunk," she told Hello!
"My little bridesmaids had accidentally wandered on to my very sheer tulle 20-foot veil. I slowed down until they’d stepped off it, but then it happened again," she explained. "Fortunately my hairdresser had pinned the tiara in place and it stood firm." A close call, but no harm done.
These days, Ella is enjoying married life with Thomas, and the pair make frequent appearances together at events. Just this morning, they went to Wimbledon together (per Hello!, Ella often attends, sitting in the Royal Box).
