Lady Gaga's Next Movie Explores the Assassination of Gucci Founder's Grandson

Lady Gaga has booked her first post-A Star Is Born movie role.
She will play Patrizia Reggiani, who was convicted of the murder of Maurizio Gucci, the grandson of Guccio Gucci.
Gaga was nominated for Best Actress at the Academy Awards for her role in Bradley Cooper's directorial debut.
Lady Gaga is returning to the big screen after her incredible performance in A Star Is Born.
The singer-songwriter has just booked a role in Ridley Scott's upcoming film about the assassination of Maurizio Gucci by his ex-wife. Maurizio was the grandson of Gucci founder Guccio Gucci.
Deadline first reported the casting news and revealed, "Gaga is attached to star as Patrizia Reggiani, the ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci, who was tried and convicted of orchestrating her ex-husband’s assassination on the steps of his office in 1995. She served 18 years before being let out of jail in 2016."
The script will apparently be based on the book by Sara Gay Forden, The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed.
Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter revealed, "The film has been a long-gestating project for Scott, with details of it first emerging more than a decade ago, with Angelina Jolie once in talks to play the role of Patrizia."
2019 has been an extremely busy year for Lady Gaga. From launching makeup line Haus Laboratories, to performing in her Vegas residency, to teasing her forthcoming new album, the singer literally hasn't stopped. But fans are bound to be excited about Gaga's return to the big screen in what sounds like an epic role.
